Irvine Competition - FLL & USEF
Service Description
FLL Challenge is an annual competition hosted by the non-profit organization FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and is designed for students aged 9-14. During the FLL Challenge season, teams of 2-6 will be given a theme for the year and based on this theme, will compete in a LEGO robot game using either Spike Prime or EV3, create an innovation project based on the theme of the year, and present their findings to a panel of judges. FLL Challenge has oppurtunities for students to win amazing prizes like college scholarships. At LeXT, we are proud to have an experience and dedicated coaching staff to guide our students through the season. Robo Tourney is a local tournament hosted by the non-profit organization USEF (US STEM Education Foundation). It takes place biannually in February and August. Twice a year, teams from across the world such as Heliopolis Academy in Egypt, QUBE Robotics from Romania, and Astana Academy in Kazakhstan join together to compete. There are four divisions for the competition based on the ages, 4-6, 6-10, 9-16, and 12-18. The games for each season and age group are adjusted to ensure that students compete in a fair and competitive challenge!
