Discovery Robot Rookies
Ages 3-4 Years Old (1 Hour per Session)
Our Discovery Robot Rookies will have an opportunity to have fun with several engaging and hands-on activities to develop their math and science skills. The classes are designed to be a fun and engaging way to teach our student mechanical engineering concepts by using LEGO® DUPLO® bricks to construct their own designs.

Summary of Learning Activities
PHASE 1: THE WORLD AROUND ME
Students learn about building foundations through projects that incorporate familiar places and objects. They develop the skills necessary to construct stable, strong builds. Students will be introduced to the basics of power, physics, and mechanics.
PHASE 2: HOW THINGS WORK - TRANSPORTATION
Students will learn the basic mechanics of Tech Machines by building transportation vehicles. They will improve their problem solving and fine motor skills through constructing builds using the interlock system and screwdrivers. Students will begin to make projects that rotate, use pulleys, and move.
PHASE 3: HOW THINGS WORK - EVERYDAY OBJECTS
Students will build on their mechanical skills by incorporating engineering basics through projects that are seen in everyday life. They will further explore rotation and movement. They will also be introduced to basic gears.
PHASE 4: S.T.E.A.M. CARNIVAL
Students will use the STEAM Park Lego set and gear systems to explore movement and motion. Through these builds, they will learn cause and effect, gears and axles, measurements, and spatial awareness.
